The impact of firms’ and CEOs’ social media usage on corporate performance

The impact of social media usage on corporate performance has not been examined in the Saudi context. This paper aims to investigate influence media, namely companies’ and CEOs’ involvement Twitter LinkedIn, profitability Arabia listed firms. A dynamic panel estimation method is used empirically assess this relationship. study employs 120 firms Stock Exchange Tadawul from 2014 2017. Data are obtained annual reports. Statements financial status as well income statements collect data dependent variable control variables. results show that having a LinkedIn official account by both CEO company does improve enterprise performance. In contrast, companies active will contribute an increase their short-term CEOs who engage via high number followers help boost long short term. Hence, recommends should be aware could increased monitoring presence networks strong intention use these tools.
